What the status tool does

The status tool on this site passes the identity details you enter to the official SASSA SRD service and shows you the result it returns. It does not change your status and it cannot approve, decline or pay anything.

Your details

The ID number and phone number you enter are used for that single check. We do not store them. Never enter a bank PIN, an online banking password or a one-time PIN into this site or any other third-party site.

Accuracy

SASSA changes its rules, amounts, deadlines and interfaces. We check our guides against official sources, but the official SASSA SRD service is always the final word. If what you see there differs from what you read here, follow the official service.
