SASSA Gold debit cards are now ended and the new SASSA Black card is available for the SASSA grant beneficiaries. This card has more features and enhanced security. The old Gold debit cards will no longer be working for the grant payments.

Postbank has issued the Black card with the collaboration of the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA). If you are still waiting for your new card, then apply for this debit card today and get it via mail delivery.

Use this card on any ATM of Postbank, retailers, or merchants who accept Visa cards. In this post, I will explain the methods of how to apply for a SASSA Black card, how to activate it and how to use it to withdraw your SASSA grant payment. So stay here and read the guide completely.

What is the New SASSA Black Card?

The New SASSA Black card is the latest debit card introduced by Postbank for social grant beneficiaries in South Africa.

This card takes the place of the longstanding SASSA Gold card, which has now been fazed out. Beneficiaries who were receiving payments through the Gold Card must now switch to the Black card to continue accessing their grants.

The SASSA Black card, new this year, offers improved security, convenience, and advanced banking features, rendering it easier for recipients of SASSA grants to manage their funds.

Enhanced security features protecting users from fraud and unauthorized transactions are one of the major plus points of the Black card. It is also more durable and designed to work seamlessly at ATMs, retail outlets, and Postbank branches. Beneficiaries can withdraw cash, make purchases, and check their balances with ease.

Moreover, the Black Card endorses tap-to-pay capabilities, which limit close contact and accelerate transactions, resulting in an exchange that is zip, zap, safe, and sound.

Moving to the new SASSA Black card is critical, as the old Gold Cards do not work any longer for paying out grants. Beneficiaries need to go to their nearest Postbank branch or SASSA office to get the new card. The steps are simple: show a valid ID and evidence that you are a SASSA grant beneficiary.

A bank that is enabled to use the technology enjoys several advantages. These advantages improve the quality and quantity of banking services available to customers, as well as the convenience and security of those services.
