SASSA SRD R370 Grant

We all faced the COVID-19 pandemic disaster. In South Africa, millions of people lost their source of income during that phase. The complete lockdown forces the big companies to cut down their employees and shut down the big companies. So during that time, a big number of citizens were facing unemployment.

However, the government was thinking to tackle the situation and thus the SASSA SRD R350 grant was introduced in May 2020. The grant was offering R350 payment every month. The government decided to shut down the grant in 2021 due to a low budget. However, it was extended for one more year. Finally, the government decided to end the grant in March 2025, but there are still some chances the grant will continue for 2027.

In this post, you will learn about what an SRD grant is, who can apply, and what the payment dates for 2025 are.

The grant was disbursing R350 payment to the approved applicants. However, the grant payment is now increased to R370 in 2025.
