How to Apply for SASSA Reapplication?
SASSA reapplication is very important for the beneficiaries. You need to keep submitting your reapplication if you need the SRD grant for a continuous period. What happens is that SASSA checks all the beneficiaries of the SRD grant once in 3 months to see if they are still eligible.
During these 90 days, the circumstances of a beneficiary can change for sure. And we have tested that many beneficiaries don’t quit their grant payment even when they are not eligible anymore.
That is why, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) started a reapplication process for all the applicants. And you are here to know about how to apply for SASSA reapplication, right? Then read the guide thoroughly.
What is the SASSA Reapplication Process?
The SASSA reapplication process ensures that only qualifying beneficiaries continue to receive the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant. Because things can change over time, SASSA needs to re-verify applicants every three months to make sure that they are still needy and that their financial circumstances haven’t suddenly improved. If SASSA can avoid paying ineligible people, it can make its resources stretch further for people who actually need them.
To apply for SASSA reapplication, you must go to the official SASSA site or use the WhatsApp and USSD channels mentioned in this guide.
You need to ID yourself first, then SASSA checks your application against its eligibility criteria to see if you’re still in the needy, grant-receiving category. If you get the green light, SASSA will keep making payments to you for another three months.
